Spring is here in Australia

I always get stuck when it comes to what I should put on my blog, I forgot I can talk about my life and things around me, not just crafts & dolls.
So I will show you a few pics of my garden, that is now in bloom, it is a smallish garden but it brings the family together for BBQ's and get togethers quite often, very peaceful and relaxing, especially when the fountain is running.
Now that my roses are blooming I can have fresh flowers in the house, makes me feel happy.

Pics coming.............

Sculptures at Melbourne airport

A few weeks ago my husband took me for a surprise visit to Melbourne (Australia) for my 50th birthday, at the airport we were greeted by these interesting full sized, sculptures, at first I thought they were made of tin, but when I had a closer look I discovered they were wood.
I love Melbourne , there is art everywhere in Melbourne, below is another wooden sculpture..............gorgeous (of course I love Sydney more).

We had a lovely weekend, when I arrived back home my family gave me another great surprise, a party, there's no better way to celebrate getting older than with your family and friends around you, I felt very special and loved, thank you to my husband and our 3 beautiful children.

WHAT HAVE I BEEN UP TO?

How times flies, it's almost the end of the year and I'm all flustered with all the things I have to do, I'm sure everyone is feeling the same.
I found a little time to do some painting, just for something different, as you can see painting is not my strong point, I called it 'By The Light......'

I have made some Maubles, they are so quick and easy, I make hundreds for my kids, they give them to their teachers, work colleagues and friends.
I'm getting ready for Christmas with a new pattern and a new workshop, I'm working on.

ORSINO, the Marionette (pictured below) is now a web workshop which will begin early September.

I also have 2 mini technique classes- Needle Sculpting on Cloth Faces and Cloth Overlay applied to a Cloth Head, these are quick and less expensive than the full sized workshops, they have a lot of information and many coloured photos.

Gee I just realised I haven't posted anything since May, how time flies.
I've been very busy but when I think back to what I've done lately,
I haven't got much to show.
I did finish one creation- Orsino a marionette jester.......you know how I love jesters.
He is 36cm (14") Tall -without counting the length of the strings.
I used rich coloured fabrics- cottons & satins.
He is beaded from his hat to his shoes.

NEW WEB SITE

www.mmunzonedesigns.com

My new web site is finally up, after much trial and error using programs such as Dreamweaver (which was way too complicated for little ol' me). I found a program called Web Plus 10, I was finally able to design my site, there are a few minor alterations I want to make when I get the chance, please have a peek, link is on the left, thanks.
