10 days 'til Christmas

And I've hardly done any Christmas shopping yet!
Recently my Mother- in- law was diaganosed with bowel cancer so the family has been in a 'stunned' mode, waiting to see what happens next, she was operated on last week, the doctors say it went well, now we pray and hope for the best, she's too old for chemo -79yrs, but she's pretty fit so she has a good chance.

I mentioned I just completed a little cutie called Blossom, well here is a pic.
I also want to remind you all my E-patterns and workshops on

have 10% off until Dec. 31st.
I want to wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS
and a very safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR and may 2010 the best year ever.....

Thank you for your support throughout the years, it means a lot to me.

Just completed my Christmas project for this year, I wanted to design some sort of animal ornaments but they turned into cone puppets, there is also a elf amongst them, couldn't resist, anyway I'm pleased with how they turned out.
I am now in the process of writng the pattern..........what do you think?

Also, we have a new addition to the family, my oldest daughter came home with a new kitty a few days ago...............introducing Poppy.
I'm still missing Fluffy very much, he was a cat in a million- see below. (I'm not biased am I?)

FLUFFY is in Cat heaven now

As I mentioned in past posts, my gorgeous part persian cat had been ill for a few months, well we finally had to let him go last Tuesday night, the meds were no longer working the vet felt the mass in his bladder was cancer and growing, my oldest daughter and I stayed with him until the end.....................
I have had many cats and dogs in my life but none like Fluf, he lived 13 happy years and brought much happiness to his family, especially me, as my husband works nights, the kids are off doing their own thing, so most of the time Fluf was my companion, always next to me.
Thank you to all that left messages, I appreciate it........

Thank you all who posted comments and well wishes here and on my yahoo groups, for my cat and my latest activities, I appreciate it.

Well Fluffy is definatly doing a lot better, he is still taking medication and I'm hoping the problem completely disappears, I can't believe he is almost his normal, cheeky self.

Other news is Ankara, Queen of the Sky Fairies is now a workshop.

Consists of 5 funfilled lessons- from construction of the body, to applying the paperclay to dressing, embellishing and making the crown and septa and much more.....
This promises to be another exciting workshop that I hope you can join me in.
The workshop starts very soon, please have a peek....

I'm still here

Sorry I have not posted for quite a while, I'm afraid it's usual story so much to do, so little time.
My beautiful cat, my good friend, Fluffy hasn't been well, he spent almost a week in hospital, his bladder was blocked and he has kidney problems, sad to say he will be 13 years old next month. Well he's at home now and hanging in there, let's hope he has a lot more time on this earth.

As for the creative side of things, I finished Ankara, Queen of the Sky Fairies (she finally has a name.........aaay!)
She will be a workshop on very soon, so keep a look out.
She is 44 cm (17" ) tall and is made of paper clay over cloth.
Her costume is richly embellished with beads, what do you think of her?

Some other great news, my oldest daughter has returned home from her South American holiday, she had a wonderful 7 months but is very happy to be home, I'm glad too.... see past posts for pics.

Sorry I have been quiet, I have been very busy and it seems with the orders I'm receiving this week I'm going to be much busier, which is good I can't complain, love making stuff.........
Between family and other everyday commitments I've been slowly working on my latest fairy as you know, well now she's almost done, I have sewn on more beads to her costume, she has hair but I'm not that happy with her hair yet and her wings are started, want to do more to them, anyway I love the way she's turning out.......

(more wip pics below).
Thank you for all your past support and comments so far.

Latest On line Workshop

My latest workshop is Mr Fennyman a 34cm (14") tall elf, he is made of paper clay over cloth, and is seated on a mushroom. There's six lessons in this class, you'll learn how to apply the paper clay over cloth to build up his features, how to make his elaborate costume, and learn how to build his base with those great little mushrooms. This is a fabulous class to take with tons to learn!
Class just started but if you would like to join in click on-

Now I have to think of a name, any suggestions?

Colours of Sth America

My oldest daughter Stephanie is currently travelling around South America with her friends. She has sent me some beautiful photos of their adventures, I want to share some of the spectacular pics from their journey around Argentina.
At the bottom of Argentina there are amazing glaciers and as they travelled upwards, they
came across more breathtaking views.
Last few days they have travelled through Chile and are currently in Peru, this is definitely a holiday to remember.
